a day in the studio

image: the studio

Unexpectedly, two places have become available on the Book Making workshop one  that takes place at my studio on Saturday 14th August and the other on Sunday 15th August.  Learn how to make a series of books with the amazing mixed media artist Julz Henderson, enjoy lunch in the warmth of my little wooden cottage and return home at the end of the day eager to create your own personalized books. You’ll find more details here.

Please note that these are the last of the workshops that will take place at my studio (at least for the foreseeable future).

  1. What a beautiful studio you have… I work off my kitchen table and one day I want to have something like yours.

  2. Thank you for your comment Katherine. I started off on a rickety little kitchen table myself. Hope that you get the perfect studio space sometime soon. Your work is gorgeous by the way. The sort of art that I’m always drawn to.

    Hi Alison

lovely photo of the studio, it doesn’t look so out the packet brand new anymore but it really looks like its lived/loved in, looking forward to hearing more tales from your winter months, is the VP (veg patch) coming to its seasons end?

  4. Hi Catherine,

The studio if very much lived in now although I’m still very particular about having everything in it’s place. Don’t think that will ever change!

We still have chard and spring onions in the garden but most of the beds have had our home made compost dug into it and have been resting over the colder months. We’ve just planted the garlic and are looking forward to being self sufficient with veggies and salads once again.

Give my love to dear, dear Brighton.

  5. Hi Alison,

Just popping in to say Hello. Your studio looks marvellous and I am pleased to see how well you are doing.

    Woo.
