with bold needle and thread

What better way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon than at Hedley’s Book Store listening to Rosemary McLeod talking about her newest publication ‘With Bold Needle and Thread’. The book includes 47 projects taken from vintage magazines that have been given a little 21st century twist. It’s also ‘threaded through with social history, ephemera, facts, tips and hints’.

This book is tremendous value and a vintage feast for the eyes.

On the way back to the car, I found a dollar coin on the pavement and so put it towards treating a girlfriend to tea and cake at a local eatery. A wonderful gentle afternoon.
