plenty going on

There hasn’t been much time for creating in the studio of late. There will be time for that, I know, once a couple more steps have been taken. Still plenty going on here though apart from making sure that the cottage is looking her best at all times for viewings.

This beautiful interior book turned up in the post after a heads up from a friend telling me that I was in it!

Two more images of my work and studio detail.

image: trumpet

Trumpet is recovering from a particularly nasty fight which involved a vet visit. He’s on the mend now but is feeling very sorry for himself. Poor little chap.

It’s been warm here and running through the water sprinkler has become a favourite game of Miss Tread Softly’s.  She also enjoys having minute naps on the sun bleached wood of the deck.

image: letter

A friend enjoys writing on whatever she can find. This touching letter arrived from Hong Kong written on part of a cardboard box. It was decorated hand cut letter ‘A’s’ on the other side. It made me smile all day long.

I’m adding daily finishing touches to our home.

image: pestle and mortar

I celebrated a birthday last week and received so many wonderful hand-made gifts including this perfect clay pestle and mortar. I love that it will become stained with use.

image: plums

Plums are in season here. We were gifted a giant bag filled with organically grown ones.

So, I’m still here, thinking about projects – just not having the opportunity to create them  yet. But that’s okay  – there will be time – soon.

  1. It certainly seems like you have enough to be getting on with right now even if it’s not as creative as you’d like! Poor Trumpet, we know all about those nasty cat fights. I hope he feels better soon.
