‘O Winter! ruler of the inverted year, . . . I crown thee king of intimate delights, Fireside enjoyments, home-born happiness, And all the comforts that the lowly roof Of undisturb’d Retirement, and the hours Of long uninterrupted evening, know. ‘

William Cowper (1731-1800) English Poet and translator

I am writing on my new frost coloured laptop. Perfect for winter and not a bit like my work one! In fact it would be very at home in your studio. There is something truly fascinating about the crystals of ice that make frost. The crunch underfoot is so satisfying. I’m not sure that Miss Dog agrees, with her naked leathery paw pads.

    You are coming south! Yay!

  3. Gosh has it been cold in the mornings….I made poor little Charlie cry as we walked into town on one of our frosty mornings. Your Silver beet looked like ours all frosted up. xx

Hmmm, looks lovely that winter but I don’t want it just now thank you – I am to busy enjoying my second summer!

  5. Knowing how dire the British winters can be, I’m quite content with this NZ one thank you! 🙂 The weather, however, does look glorious in your photos.
