best kept secret

I’ve made the move from Type-pad to Word-press and the only reason being that it’s free. I’ve managed to work out how to import all of my old posts so they’re here in one place. If you have me bookmarked then could you update it please? Thanks.

With a southerly blowing through Wairarapa on Friday we dug out our coats, scarfs and boots (haven’t worn anything but flip flops since November) and headed out to our regions best kept secret for pizza. The bakery above is a 15km drive from here into the depths of the countryside. Set in a magical woodland, Bolly, the baker makes the most amazing pizza in his wood oven every Friday. Usually you have children running around, families sitting on rugs and occassionally guitars playing but seeing that was unseasonably chilly everyone was inside leaving the outside to us.

We’d taken along a bottle of wine from Gladstone Vineyard, glasses and napkins and spent time until the sun went down eating the most delicious pizza.

If you’re ever in the region on a Friday night then I’d be more than happy to share directions with you. It really is the most amazing treat.

With a private opening of the studio taking place on Saturday and the official opening on Sunday, it’s going to be a very busy week. A photographer friend has offered to take photos for me so I should have lots to show you next week once life has calmed down.

Until next time…
